Going back a couple of generations

These are my maternal three great aunts. Mom used to have an inn called The Regent House Inn and she named the three rooms after them, Sarah, Sophie, and Rose. My sister and I used to dress up Victorian and serve Tea by reservation. I don't know what I enjoyed most, serving the fines ladies tea or dressing up........in any case, we all enjoyed ourselves.

We are No. 1

We, REMAX, are going to dinner tonight to celebrate the fact that we are the number one Real Estate company in Miramichi/Northumberland County. We have 50% of the listings in our entire area, Yeah!! Proud to be their Receptionist!!! Good team of people to work for and work with.

I had my speech all ready

No Toastmasters tonight because of the road conditions due to the snow that has been falling all day. Too bad, I had my speech, "The Circus comes to Town" already to deliver. Oh well, next week I guess.

My next speech will be about all the inventors. poets, statesmen and such that gained prominence during Queen Victoria's reign.

I am so enjoying Toastmasters.

Last night, we had our Ladies Games Group. We played EYE REMEMBER,(a memory game), it was a lot of fun, hard to play though when there was so many discussions going on, but we never play by the rules anyway, that is why it is so much fun!!!

A new experience

I did something this morning I have never done in my life before, ever! I shaved a man. My Dad is very weak and hasn't been able to shave in the last few days. I offered to shave him thinking, Gee I shave my legs, how difficult can it be?

Well, I first used scissors to cut the long whiskers, then proceeded to put shaving foam, so far so good. An hour after, I finally finished, leaving some whiskers just around the bottom of his chin, (the Brad Pitt look).

I now have a greater appreciation for the lengths you men go to look handsome for us! Dad will turn 87 years old on Friday, hope he is around for a long time yet.

Slideshow

I created a slideshow, thinking it would go to the right of the page, but somehow ended up in my Post. Will have to figure that one out......
