This week to commemorate SepiaSaturday's 100th, I thought I would post this photo of spirited young ladies taken in Queen Elizabeth Park. I particularly like the way the snow is falling in large flakes against their dark coats. Must have been a challenge to showshoe in such heavy clothing!!!

A gorgeous wintry scene. Thank goodness someone had the foresight to set up the camera. I hope they were’t too blue with cold after standing around in the chill.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you back on blogger - I have missed your delightful posts. Thanks for the SS 100 post : let us hope we can share their fun and enjoyment without having to share the climatic reasons for it. Thanks for your participation in Sepia Saturday - keep those posts coming.
ReplyDeleteThanks, glad to be back!
ReplyDeleteLuckily we haven't had any snow here yet, which is surprising considering some of the areas that did get hit with snowstorms in the last couple of weeks.
ReplyDeleteThey Look Warm Though!
ReplyDeleteA great photo with snow falling. I know we will be getting ours anytime now....love the red roses on your blog too.
ReplyDeleteI simply love roses, can't get enough of them! Rosie.
ReplyDeleteMy Blog won't let me post a comment on my own site, so I have to use Anonymous!!!! What's up with that? Rosie
ReplyDeleteI've reached the stage in life where I can do without snow but would appreciate the use of snow shoes some time. The ladies look a cheerful bunch.
ReplyDeleteThey all look so cozy and warm and full of joy. Here's to many snow days this winter with a fire and hot chocolate to warm us after hours of snow-ball fights, snow angels and, of course, a little shoveling too!
ReplyDeleteActually, that looks like a lot of fun, especially if followed by a cup of hot chocolate.
ReplyDeleteI love the puff-sleeved coats - very elegant! Jo
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking it might be a challenge to snowshoe in ANY clothing! Intriguing photo, thank you.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great photo with the women and the snow falling.
