I had an usual day today. I went to work for 9am, then I tried to reach my father on the telephone for about an hour. Line was busy all the time. Since he wears hearing aids, I know he doesn't like the phone that much. I left work, I found him, pretty weak, took him to the hospital. He will be fine, but poor soul, he is having it tough.

It's Smelt Fry time again! I do my own, but much prefer find a restaurant that serves them either fried on the grill or deep fried.
I've missed out the last two weekends. Looks like a good weekend for the Pond Hockey. It will be held at the airbase in Chatham/Miramichi instead of the French Fort Cove this year because of safety issues. Fireworks Saturday night at 8am in case anyone is in town.
Well, we escaped the brunt of the storm, so off to work today and choir practice tonight. The anthem this Sunday will be ladies only. The men will get a break and just sit down and listen....
I worked on my next speech for Toastmasters last night, I just need to tweek it a bit and it's good to go. It is titled, "The Circus comes to Town". It is about when we, my brothers and I put on a circus in our own backyard.

Another fun night at Toastmasters! The one who was supposed to be the General Evaluator couldn't make it to the meeting so asked me to fill in for her. The theme for the evening was "Fear it, but do it anyway", so in keeping with the theme, I feared it, since I had never done that before, but did it anyway.......
I also helped a fellow Toastmaster with his speech on Role Playing, so all in all, it was quite an interesting evening, think I may even have a speech ready for next Tuesday!

This is what is left of the Thériault Clan (of that generation). My father is in front with the white cardigan. We had a good old fashioned Acadian Dinner of boiled salted cod fish. My Aunt Bertha had a treat for me, she had the family tree in the shape of a fan, starting with her. What a lot of names make up a family!!!
