For Sepia Saturday 75
In keeping with the theme, this is a group of men at a far different sport then playing pool. The picture is labeled "Pet Deer", ( I can only hope so, because I think there is a couple of rifles in the photo)!! I got this photo from the collection of Old Pictures of Miramichi River and surrounding areas by Charles Asoyuf. Happy Sepia Saturday everyone!

Spoofed...
ReplyDeleteAnimal cruelty?
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame! I can't see much sport in this. I suppose it would be too much to hope that they are all bad shots. Unfortunately it fits the theme.
ReplyDeleteWell, in my happy place, the deer runs away and everyone indeed is a bad shot, and the deer lived to a ripe old age having fun in the meadow. Very interesting photo, looks cold :) Thanks for stopping by my postcard request post, and you're so kind to offer to send my relative one. It will be very much appreciated by him and by me. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe thing is, has anyone explained to the deer that it’s a ‘pet’? It looks pretty scared to me.
ReplyDeleteThe "pet" looks scared and the men look pretty mean. I'm not holding out much hope but maybe....
ReplyDeleteBarbara
Hi Rosie, oh dear I hope it is a pet deer. Great post.
ReplyDeleteQMM
after looking at it twice already, i still am speechless... hunting is not in my instincts and interfering with wild life either....
ReplyDeleteexcept for squirrels in the city parks... feeding them, not hurting them!!
Hopefully all of their wives have gone to a lovely spa for a weekend of facials, sun and relaxation while those intrepid hunters do their guy stuff. Interesting photo for this week's theme!
ReplyDeleteAh yes...some are pets for sure...while others...well not so much...after all that's why there is still hunting season....although you won't get me out there....run Bambi run....where you can all hide!
ReplyDeleteI find this so sad. The terror the dear must have felt.
ReplyDeleteI just had a mother and two tiny fawns walk across the drive yesterday. Beautiful spotted babies.
