Here comes our ferry, (the new one), Grand Manan Adventure to take us over to Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick.
And we're off, my daughter, step daughter and me.
The beach at Deep Cove, Grand Manan Island.
My daugther, Christina soaking up the sun.
My step daughter, Brenda.
We are taking a 10 minute hike to see the "Hole in the Wall" at North Head.
Amazing what the sea water can do to rock!
On one of our excursions, we were greeted by two fawns by the roadside, so cute.
The cliffs at South Head, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Beautiful sunset, South Head, next to the cliffs.
A bit of fog surrounded Swallowtail Lighthouse on the Island, such a beautiful sight!
Wow those a beautiful photos. I've always wanted to go out to Grand Mannan. I've been among the islands of Passamaquoddy Bay and those are fascinating as well. Great post!
ReplyDelete@Crazyasa Cool Fox, Passamaquoddy Bay is not far from Minister's Island,(if my memory serves me right) have you ever been there? It is just the other side of St. Andrews By the Sea. You must visit Grand Manan, it will be worth your while, it is like going back in time. There is only 1 grocery store, 1 bank, 1 hardware store and I believe only 1 bakery.
ReplyDeleteWE ARE HERE RIGHT NOW, CAMPING AT HOLE IN THE WALL CAMPGROUND. WE'RE HAVING AWESOME WEATHER AND ENJOYING DRIVING AROUND SEEING ALL THE BEAUTIFUL COASTAL SCENERY. I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE. WE SAW A WHALE ON OUR FERRY RIDE OUT HERE AND WE'VE SEEN PORPOISES AND SEALS TOO. IT'S TRUE, ONLY ONE GROCERY STORE AND VERY FEW RESTAURANTS. THE PEOPLE ARE VERY FRIENDLY; EVERYONE WAVES TO US AS WE ARE DRIVING AROUND!! (MAYBE IT'S MY HUSBAND'S DRIVING :)
