Simpsons Catalogue of 1939

I purchased this old catalogue at an estate auction a few years ago.  I look through it once in awhile and just marvel at the styles and PRICES!!  I could take my pay of today and have a brand new wardrobe, appliances and furniture with just one pay!!

    It is a wonderful idea : today's pay and yesterday's prices. But alas, with me, it tends to be today's prices and yesterday's pay.

    Yes, sadly we can't pay yesterday's prices. I liked the styles better though, that I could change by sewing........
